Williamsburg is a great place for a vacation.  There is a lot of history between Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown, as well as the Busch Gardens amusement park.  It is also close to the ocean, Civil War Sites, and 2 1/2 hours from Washington DC.  There are also more Outlet stores than you could ever afford.

Flight Information

There are 3 airports within an hour’s drive of Williamsburg:  Newport News (PHF), Richmond (RIC), and Norfolk (ORF).  They all claim to serve Wililamsburg, though Newport News is the most convenient, about a 2o minute drive, depending on traffic.  However, it is a smaller airport, has a limited number of airlines/flights, and tends to be a little more expensive.  Richmond is about an hour’s drive and is served by all major airlines, and tends to be the least expensive option.  Norfolk is an hour’s drive as well, but traffic is often an issue.  Norfolk is served by all major airlines, including Southwest.
